Thank you for using Lexyom. This privacy policy (“Policy“) applies to your use of the Lexyom platform (the “Site“). Lexyom is firmly committed to protecting the privacy of the users of the Site (together, “you” or “Users”). The Policy is intended to inform you about how we collect and use information. Please read it carefully in conjunction with our Terms & Conditions before accessing our website or submitting any information to us. If you do not agree to any part of this Policy, then you should stop accessing our Site. Our goal is to provide you with a secure online experience and to ensure that any information you submit to us is private and used/disclosed only for the purposes and in the means described below. This Policy, which may be amended from time to time, is incorporated into and is subject to Lexyom’s Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”). Your use of the Site and any personal information you provide on the Site remain subject to the terms of this Policy and the Terms.
Information for California residents and individuals located in the European Union (EU) are also included within this Policy.
TYPE OF INFORMATION COLLECTED
Personal Data. When you register and set up an account, use or visit the Site, or contact us by e-mail or other means for any reason, you will be asked for the relevant pieces of information that specifically identify an individual, such as, but not be limited to, your name, contact details (email, address, and telephone number), passport information, payment information (billing and financial information which may include your postal and email addresses) and preferences. If you are using a mobile device, we might also collect data that identifies your mobile number, mobile device, device-specific settings and characteristics, and latitude/longitude details. We might also calculate and process data related to the type of apps installed on a mobile device, such as the name of the app, an app description, and the category it belongs to. None of this information by itself will be able to tell us who you are, but it can still be considered “personal” data. We may also receive information about you when you use certain social media services.
Usage/Log information. When you use the Site, we collect usage information. This includes information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol (IP) address, operating system and browser type, the date and time you access or use the Site, items you click on, pages you view and the amount of time you spend on any particular page, application version, language settings and pages that have been shown to you. We treat this information as Personal Data if we combine it with or link it to any of the personal information mentioned above. Otherwise, it is used in the aggregate only and is not considered by Lexyom to be subject to the restrictions in this Policy.
Location Information. If you choose to enable location-based services, we may collect your location based on information provided by you or your mobile device, including, if available, GPS, IP address or cell tower information.
Third-Party Information. We may receive information about you from third parties (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, etc.) (“Third Party Sites”), in accordance with the policies and terms of such Third Party Sites. This Policy governs any information we have and combine with information from Third Party Sites.
Anonymous Data. “Anonymous Data” means data that is not associated with or linked to your personal data; Anonymous Data does not, by itself, permit the identification of individual persons. We collect Personal Data and Anonymous Data.
COOKIES AND ONLINE ADVERTISING
Cookies and Clear Gifs. We use “cookies” to personalize your online experience. Lexyom may use “cookies” or clear gif information for a number of reasons related to the use of the Site, including to, remember your information so that you will not have to re-enter it during your next visit of the Site; and monitor aggregate site usage metrics such as total number of visitors and pages viewed. A cookie is a text file that is placed on your hard drive by a web server that allows us to automatically collect certain information (such as customer preferences and history). Cookies are not used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Cookies are uniquely assigned to your computer, and can only be read by a web server that issued the cookie to you. Third-party companies who sell and provide advertisements to the Site, make use of cookies for the purpose of serving and targeting advertisements more effectively. Clear gifs (also known as web bugs or web beacons) are small, invisible graphic images that may be used by the Site or in emails relating to the Site to collect certain information and monitor user activity on the Site and may be combined with your IP address or other information that we have gathered with respect to a User’s use of the Site. If you wish to block, erase, or be warned of cookies, please refer to your browser instructions or help screen to learn about these functions. However, if a browser is set not to accept cookies or if a User rejects a cookie, some portions of the Site may not function properly.
Online Advertising. We may also use third parties to display and target ads, provide certain functionality (such as maps), or to place their own cookies and other tracking technologies to collect, track and analyze usage and statistical information from Users. We are not responsible for the information collection practices of any third parties.
HOW WE USE INFORMATION
General Use:
In order to provide the level of service we believe you expect from us, we may use your personally identifiable information for the following purposes: (i) to facilitate your use of the Site, to process your requests, to provide you with information, products and services you request, to administer and assist us with the operation of our business, and for the purpose for which the information was provided; (ii) to do all things necessary to administer the Site; (iii) to research, develop, manage, protect and improve our Site and products and include new features and services; and (iv) to analyze data, or to have a third party do so on our behalf (for example, for payment processing, data storage, customer service, email delivery, and to assist us in our marketing efforts). Lexyom, sometimes with the assistance of a third party, may use your personally identifiable information to process your payment through merchant account services, and to generate the products and services you order. Your contact data may be used to follow up with you on transactions you initiate through online services, respond to inquiries made through the Site, inform you of changes to the services, and send you additional information about Lexyom and its products and services.
Services Providers, Business Partners and Legal Professionals:
We may share information about you with service providers, business partners or affiliates who assist us with completing the services you request through Lexyom. These companies are not authorized to use the information we share with them for any other purpose other than providing services to Lexyom or to you.
Lexyom may also share User information with the independent professionals (including attorneys and legal professionals) that can be accessed through services and products such as our “Book a Consultation” service and attorney-assisted products.
Analytics and Marketing:
If you use our Site, information may also be used to evaluate what portions of our Site are visited more often than others, determine where Users come from, where they go, and how long they stay on a particular page, or on our Site in general. We may use the information we collect to send you news relevant to you or in accordance with your preferences. We may also send you advertisements from third parties. We do not disclose or make available your personally identifiable information to third parties for direct marketing purposes.
Required by Law:
We may disclose your personal information in the good faith belief that we are lawfully authorized or required to do so, or that doing so is reasonably necessary or appropriate to comply with the law or with legal process or authorities, respond to any claims, or to protect the rights, property or safety of the Site, our Users, our employees or the public, including without limitation to protect Lexyom or our Users from fraudulent, abusive, inappropriate or unlawful use of the Site.
Government Entities:
In order to fulfill certain products you purchased through Lexyom, we may share information about you with government entities. Certain Personal Data (such as a corporation’s name, business address, and registered agent name) becomes public record when documents are filed with the federal or state government, or with a court. For example, a Secretary of State may publish this information to its website or provide this information to third parties for a fee. The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) publishes the names and addresses of trademark registrants. This Policy does not cover these or similar third-party actions.
Testimonials and Reviews:
We may display personal testimonials received through email surveys on our Site or other marketing or reviews that you leave either on the Site or on other publicly available websites. If you wish to update or delete your testimonial or a review that we display, you can contact us at hello@lexyom.com. We will delete your testimonial or review at your request or if, at our discretion, we choose not to update your review as requested.
Authorized Contacts:
In limited circumstances, we may provide information about you to someone you know. For instance, we may provide information connected to your account with Lexyom/dashboard to your authorized contacts.
Aggregate Data:
In addition to the circumstances listed above, Lexyom may also share de-identified or Aggregate Data that is not capable of being linked to any individual User with additional entities/persons not listed in this Policy. When we collect publically available information, we may also share that information on our Site.
PROTECTING THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Lexyom uses third party service providers to transmit, store, encrypt, process and display uploaded documents on your behalf. Lexyom has taken measures reasonably necessary to ensure these services keep uploaded documents private and secure, but their organizations practices are ultimately beyond our control. By using the documents feature, you acknowledge that you understand and agree to assume the risks.
Information that we collect may be stored and processed in and transferred between any of the countries in which we operate in order to enable us to use the information in accordance with this Policy. By using the Site, you agree that we can process and transfer your information in this manner.
TRANSFERS OF INFORMATION
Lexyom may disclose User information with businesses controlling, controlled by, or under common control with Lexyom. Information about our Users (including Personal Data) may be disclosed as part of any merger, acquisition, debt financing, sale of company assets, as well as in the event of an insolvency, bankruptcy or receivership in which information and data could be transferred to third parties as one of Lexyom’s business assets. In such an event, we will attempt to notify you before your Personal Data is transferred, but you may not have the right to opt out of any such transfer.
We might also transfer the Personal Data we collect about you to countries outside of the country in which the information originally was collected. Those countries may not have the same data protection laws as the country in which you initially provided the information. When we transfer your information to other countries, we will protect that information as described in this Policy.
CHOICE/ OPT-OUT
You may, at any time, decline to share your Personal Data with us, in which case you will not be able to access some of the features and functionality found in the Site. You may “opt out” of receiving communications from us at the point where we request information about the visitor by emailing us at hello@lexyom.com. However, this shall not affect our ability to send you service and account related emails and to use your Personal Data as otherwise described in this Policy. If you register as a User, you may update, correct, or delete your profile information and preferences at any time by emailing us at hello@lexyom.com. If you request your account information be deleted from our database, we may maintain information about individual sales transactions for record-keeping and servicing.
SECURITY MEASURES
Lexyom endeavors to secure your Personal Data from unauthorized access, use or disclosure by putting into place reasonable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard the information we collect. Additionally, your account information is accessible online only through the use of a password. No security measures are perfect or impenetrable. To protect the confidentiality of your personal information, you must keep your password confidential and not disclose it to any other person. You are responsible for all use of the Site by any person using your password. Please contact us immediately by emailing us if you believe your password has been misused.
THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES AND PRACTICES
The Site may contain links to other websites or make available Third Party Sites, including ad platforms and technologies. Please be aware that this Policy will not apply to your activities or any personal information you disclose while using Third Party Sites, products or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of such third parties. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of any website or service that collects your information (the data controller).
SPAMMING
We do not tolerate spam. You are not licensed to add other Lexyom Users to your mail list (email or physical mail) without their express consent. You may not use our communication tools to send spam or otherwise send content that would violate the Terms of Use.
NO GUARANTEES
While this Policy states our standards for maintenance of data and we will make efforts to meet them, we are not in a position to guarantee these standards. There may be factors beyond our control that may result in disclosure of data. As a consequence, we disclaim any warranties or representations relating to maintenance or nondisclosure of data.
INFORMATION FOR CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS
If you are a resident of California, this section applies to your rights and Lexyom’s duties regarding your Personal Data.
Your Rights as Resident of California:
California law allows California residents, upon a verifiable user request, to request that a business that collects users’ Personal Data give consumers access to specific information related to that user’s data. California residents can also submit a request for deletion of information under certain circumstances. This is not an absolute right and, in some circumstances, Lexyom may decline to delete the information, such as when Lexyom has an on-going business relationship with you, when we have a continued need to use the information for purposes outlined in this Policy, or when we are legally required to retain the information. We will not charge you different prices or provide different quality of services if you choose to exercise your rights in accordance with California law unless those differences are related to your information.
Submitting a Request About your Data:
If you would like to submit a request to access or delete your information, please email us at hello@lexyom.com. We will ask you to verify your email address and may also request additional information in order to verify your identity. In certain cases, we may ask you to submit additional information for verification, such as proof of residency or passport copy. Please note that consistent with California law, we will not be able to satisfy your request until we have verified your identity. If you decide to submit your request through an authorized agent, you should provide Lexyom with written permission for the agent to make the request on your behalf or provide us with an executed power of attorney. You will also be required to submit your valid government issued-identification, and the authorized agent’s valid government-issued identification.
INFORMATION FOR EU USERS AND VISITORS
If you are a located in the EU, this section applies to your rights and Lexyom’s duties regarding your Personal Data, and additional information regarding the processing of your Personal Data.

You have the right to request that Lexyom erase or refrain from using your Personal D This is not an absolute right and, in some circumstances, Lexyom may decline to erase or limit its usage of your data, such as when Lexyom has an on-going business relationship with you or we are legally required to retain the information. If Lexyom cannot honor your request, Lexyom will inform you of this fact as well as the reasons for Lexyom’s decision;

You will not have to pay a fee to access your personal information (or to exercise any of the other rights). However, we may charge a reasonable fee if your request for access is clearly unfounded or excessive. Alternatively, we may refuse to comply with the request in such circumstances.
While we hope that Lexyom can resolve any of your privacy concerns to your satisfaction after you contact us directly, you also have the right to file a complaint regarding Lexyom’s handling of your Personal Data with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s independent Data Protection Authority (https://ico.org.uk/global/contact-us/email/).
CHANGES TO THE POLICY
We may change the provisions of this Policy at any time, and we will always post the most up-to-date version on our Site. However, we will not notify you personally. Therefore, make sure to check this Policy regularly.
BREACHES AND QUESTIONS ABOUT OUR POLICY
